Substance Use Issues & Community Work Course (QQI Level 5) in conjunction with Cork College of Commerce

Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 23rd August.

This course promotes good practice amongst those working in a paid or voluntary capacity with young people and communities who are affected and impacted by various issues. The course also includes add on Child Protection Guidelines and SafeTalk [Suicide Awareness] Training.

Venue: Cork College of Commerce Campus, Morrison’s Island Cork City

Tuesday evenings – 6.30pm to 9.30pm

Course Duration 22 weeks [October to April]

English Language Assessment:  Tuesday 10th September 2019  @ 5.30pm prompt (for those who have applied for this course & don’t have relevant educational certification)
Pre-entry Information Session: Tuesday 10th September 2019 @ 6.30pm in the Cork College Commerce (for those who have applied for this course)
Interviews (by invitation only): Tuesday 17th September 2019 (daytime)
 
The Substance Use Issues & Community Work Course 2019/20 (QQI  Level 5) Graduates will receive a QQI  Level 5 Combined Component Award.
Duration: October 2019 — April 2020
When: Tuesday 6.30. — 9.30 pm (evening)
Venue: Cork College of Commerce Campus, Morrison’s Island, Cork City.
Course Modules: (1) Understanding Community Development & (2) Substance Use Issues for Youth Work.
Course fee: €125
Graduates will receive a QQI  Level 5 Combined Component Award.
